Our Commitment

A safe, supervised, structured environment

🔒

Secure Check-In / Check-Out

Campers are released only to adults on their authorized pick-up list. Photo ID required for unfamiliar pick-up persons.

👁️

Constant Supervision

Campers are under direct staff supervision at all times. We maintain safe counselor-to-camper ratios throughout the day.

🩺

First Aid On-Site

At least one CPR/First Aid certified staff member is on-site at all times. First aid supplies are maintained and accessible.

🚨

Emergency Protocols

Staff are trained in emergency procedures. Emergency contact information is kept on file for every camper.

🌿

Allergy Awareness

All known allergies are reviewed by staff. Snacks are selected with common allergens in mind. EpiPen protocols in place.

🔍

Background-Checked Staff

Every adult working with campers has undergone a comprehensive background check before their first day.

Supervision

Staff-to-Camper Ratios

We maintain intentionally low camper-to-counselor ratios. This isn't just a safety decision — it's part of what makes Zin Kids a genuine community rather than a crowd.

Health Policies

Keeping Everyone Healthy

Illness Policy

Campers who are sick should stay home. If a camper exhibits signs of illness at camp, parents/guardians will be contacted for immediate pick-up. Please do not send a child to camp with:

  • Fever (100.4°F or higher) within the past 24 hours
  • Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
  • Undiagnosed rash
  • Contagious illness (strep, pink eye, etc.)

Medication Administration

[Placeholder: Customer provides medication administration policy — whether camp administers medications and what paperwork is required]

Allergy Management

All allergy information is collected during registration. Staff are briefed on individual camper allergies before each week begins. Parents are responsible for providing any required medications (EpiPen, etc.) at registration.

Coverage

Liability & Insurance

[Placeholder: Customer provides details on camp liability insurance — carrier, coverage type, and whether participant waivers are required. This section is important for parent confidence — confirm with Kara O'Briant before launch.]

Participant Waiver

[Placeholder: Customer to confirm whether a participation/liability waiver is required and where it is collected (during MindBody registration, or separately). Mahiri recommends this be part of the MindBody registration flow.]
